13 new exterior pictures of the GT

I finally got around to doing my spring / summer full exterior detail this weekend. I washed and clay barred it yesterday. This morning I did the Mother's 3 step wax system via a buffer, wiped out the wheels wells and shined up the tires.

F.Y.I. the last picture is definitely my favorite

There are only a couple plans left for the exterior and I will be able to officially declare it finished. Evil eyelids will be welded to the hood and the factory side skirts / door panels will be replaced with side skirts from a Z24 (in other words, the sides will look like a Sunfire SE with Z24 side skirts).

Thanks! I absolutely love the wheels, even though they're a +35 offset and therefore stick out quite a bit in the front

Looks nice and clean, just subtle changes I like it. I would just give you a word of caution, if you plan on taking off the sides and door panels if you dont know there are holes in the door and fender that hold those pieces in place and you'll have to shave those holes.

Thanks! Subtle is exactly my goal. I want it to look totally stock without actually being totally stock, if that makes any sense

Yes, I am aware that there are 16, I believe, holes on each side. If it doesn't cost too much, it will get done eventually. I've never seen another "stock" GT with it done and it looks soooo much cleaner IMO.

I gotta clean up the car, and prep its "good side" and we can shoot I guess. the whole drivers side of the car is narsty lookin', i gotta a LOT of work to do on the car before its 100%. But I want to burn my days off finishing the interior before anything else, so yes, very soon.

I am in yorkville now, I live right across from the menards on 47 in those apts. Hell we could include my brothers car in the shoot maybe, an '04 SS impala, its pretty sexy lookin'.

I agree 100%...... I think when it gets the evil eyes and Z24 (should go with LS) side skirts, it should get the older GT bumper....

Well, if we did a photo shoot we could always get the "good" side of your car in the pictures

Which apartment complex do you live in? My cousin lives in York Meadow so you might see me over there some time.

Thanks for the props guys! As far as the front bumper, IMO the '00-'02 GT front is the best looking factory Sunfire bumper so it's definitely not going anywhere. As far as the side skirts, I will be going with the Z24 skirts because they look the closest to the factory GT side skirts which I really like the looks of, minus those damn door panels of course.
