Ok here is the deal,
i have heard good and bad about painting the supercharger. More bad about raised iat temps and what not. I talked with a family member who works for eaton in a different division and the guys in the supercharger/auto say its fine to paint.
Well i decided to do a lil experiment @ work. (dealer) well i checked my iats before and after the painting on the same type of day and temp and was seeing about a 4-5degree temp difference.
it was 75-80degrees outside and i was seeing 113-118 painted and 108-115 normal.
the reason behind painting it was the finish was getting kinda ugly and wanted something different than polished.
i searched on redlineforums and cobbaltss.net for painted superchargers and they didnt look that pretty.
So i sanded mine down to about 4-500 grit than had it painted.
c&c welcome
before/ when i got it
tried cleaning it up a lil bit
And the finished product(i have a dummy sensor and the square gm badge for the nub)

very nice... i might have to try that with mine... also about your exhaust.. i went with a F-body magna flow exhaust and it sounds actually pretty deep sounding.. i run a 3" turbo back exhaust with just a resonator then the muffler and its nice!

that looks rly good
RIP JESSE GERARD.....Youll always be in my thoughts and prayers...
looks pretty good , kinda stealthy
and for gawds sake , drill the 2 holes and get 2 bolts and nuts and mount that strut bar to the firewall , and paint that intake black too itll add the the stealth look
No doubt it looks much better now. I did not check your profile but I am sure you already know alky injection will more than offset the differnce of a few degrees in intake air temps. Props for taking avdantage of the opertunity to show us the actual difference. Engine bay as a whole looks good by the way.

Do you have a P/n for that aeromotive FPR?
Wow! That looks so mean! I'm most defiantly digging the black motif man. Maybe just add some more blue accents?
