Hey guys...I am new here and this is my first post. I just put an intake on my 2001 Cav with a 2.2. There is no hole for the air temp sensor. There is a hook up for 2 air hoses..one to go to the valve cover and the other for??? My guess in the air temp sensor....but how? It does not allow it to hang down into the air. What should I do? What effects wil this have on my car??
Thanks!

You may have to plug the extra port off and drill a hole for your AIT sensor . Just be sure to use a grommet when you install the sensor so it does not fall out .
The only thing that will happen if the sensor does not have air blowing over it is . You may run a little rough or waste a little gas . Just drill the intake for the sensor , that will take care of everything .

dont do nothing just get the right resistor put it in the connector and get a couple horses.

i just drilled out one of the male ends for the sensor

check the fuel pressure with the IAT on then off.

The resistor mod is a joke . Sure you get more fuel , but more fuel does not mean more HP , you can actually lose HP from to much fuel . Who ever told you that more fuel was more HP was full of CR@P . You do the resistor mod and think that crappy gas mileage means more power ? By the way the IAT has nothing to do with the FPR . It is operated by the vacuum from the intake manifold . Unplug your vacuum line from the FPR and see what happens , you will simulate WOT .
Facts are facts the resistor mod is an E-Bay scam that promises but never delivers .

ya the ebay IAT mod is bs not mine and yes if u put more fuel and dont put more air then u will lose , the vacum only regulates the pressure. Have u ever heard of cold start up the computer controls that..................

Prove it on a Dyno... In 5 years nobody has been able to so please step up.

I had a resistor 600ohm in my cav, but the only thing i noticed that gas was burning like hell. I actually noticed a improvement in my engine right after i took it off. So, I have no really idea if the resistor was too high or low for my car. But right now, i would have to say that this mod does not work, look into get a cold air intake instead, more air, more fuel, better combustion. that is the principle.
