ok, so i've been to 2 meetings so far, one awhile ago, and one last week, i noticed that nothin ever really gets done, you all just sit around and talk, but ppl always say stuff about attendance and what not
my questoin is, is it always that way and is that the point of the meeting, or are there times when you actually have planned things to go voer and what not
just wondering cuz i would like to join, but some nights i cant stay around and BS til midnight
we usually go over a couple things...the past month or so has been just shooting the breeze.....occasionally we actually get stuf done....the whole point is to get together.
good point i share the same view, lately its been a few hours out in the parking lot installing stuff for me, seems like every week im fooling with something, as a club i do think we need to be more on task, problem is the majority of the club cars are not finished or just in very early stages of learning how to mod or what they want. We dont have alot of totally finished cars that can go do stereo comps, race, or show, right now we have 2 racecars, maybe 2-3 show worthy, and really only 1 ready for stereo comp. The work simply needs to be put into the cars to get them ready. We have alot of ppl that want to do things they just dont have the car to do it yet.
I know in my situation ive had some aweful ongoing suspension issues that i've yet to resolve, that prevents me from auto x or drag racing to go along with the msd on the fringe and water injection not working. I also dont have working subs or headunit at the moment they need to be removed for repairs, this pretty well prohibits showing or stereo comps for me.
Alot of others are almost there but need a paint job or some things just cleaned up, we did lose some tenured members and those that have come in weren't as far along as they were and to an extent thats hurt our exposure. I don't think unless we can recruit some fully done cars that we can really make much impact yet this year. I'm sure that next year will be great because alot will finish up over winter, but we dont have alot to work with right now. Theres some great young talent in the club now recently added it just needs to develop

^ i think Matt got it. There a whole bunch of cars there that are just getting into modding and such. Cars like mine that have a kit and few other mods and are just waiting on paint. But He is right next summer there are gonna 4-5 more cars ready for shows after the winter time to work. The problem for alot of us is we don't have the funds to finish up or we would. lol I just like going on saturdays to get away from everything else and talk to people.

Yeah, getting together is the best part for me......unfortunatley i will never be much of a show car. i do have a drop coming soon but other than that exterior is staying stock....i do have some future engine stuff goin though

i dont even know if you guys still consider me part of the club still or not, but i've been in 5 shows so far this year, and i put down sinister j's as my club affiliation everytime they ask for it. i guess im the only one that really shows. nick and tim came to one that i know of.
ive only been able to do one show this year, the ongoing suspension issues and faulty equipment has taken up all my time

We weren't sure if you had actually left or not there for a while... Tracey said that you were going to follow Steve. But if you want to still be part of the club you're more than welcome.
Saturday NIGHTS are for our meets. Yeah we'll sit and BS a good part of the time, but we do go do other things also. i.e. shoot pool, go kart racing, whatever. Saturday nights are MOSTLY our time to hang out with each other, since a good bit of us live a good distance from one another. But we DO go do other things once in a while.
Speaking of which... I have an email I've forgotten to send out... got some things planned to go over on the 27th... one including a designated weekend to go do something every month, and another for a "comp division" which needs to be gone over and gotten imput from, and decided on.
I need to stop being so busy lol. Well then again, if I wasn't busy, I couldn't save up the $1,800 I need to buy my PAINT... JUST THE PAINT is $1,800. Not telling what yet, and the few who know better keep their mouths shut. It'll DEFINATELY win some trophies
Also I decided to just get a new front bumper instead of fixing this one since I'm putting paint that's that expensive on it... new sides... new doors...
yeah i definitly still want to be a part of the club. it will be hard for me to make meets now because i leave for college on sunday

theres the directions to the track. since most live in the York area. it be about a 2 hour drive to the track hence why no one comes up.
Justin, like i said at the one show in Lewisburg, i have no problem with you coming back to the club. you left on good terms i think. and if you wanna come to race. ill give some tips. but since it will probaly be your first time. you will probaly suck at it. but practice makes perfect.
i think one more show and im done for the year as far as car shows go. i dont win anything anyway

I agree with all of you guys. Many of us are just getting into our cars, but with the knowledge of so many people they will all come out great, just give it time. I joined the club to meet new people and learn more about cars. So far I have learned alot from being apart of Sinister Js, matt has helped me more times now then I can count. The meets are always fun. Going on trips with some of you guys or coming to pick up parts is also fun stuff. Since I joined its been a blast.

well guys hopefully by next summer i will be already to go and be goin to every show we can go to!!! and maybe even a few races. but we will see. i have all winter to finish the interior up so hopefully like we all said some nice cars next summer. hopefully chris gets his bc2 cavi painted soon!
