its been a little while since we've talked @!#$ about VA laws...
post it here...
i miss my florida plates...my legal 20% tint... my ability to use underglows while driving legally.... my clean windshield with only the stickers i want on it... my 50 state legal muffler actually being legal
and the lack of $1000 fines... for speeding
Tickets Blow... (i havent gotten one in a while... but its because i drive the Z more than the 93 now)
I personally haven't been ticketed in VA yet..::knocks on wood::, but then again I don't make myself too obvious. My car isn't really "flashy" so it doesn't really attract attention. No underglows, no rims, no bodykit. Just 20% tints all around, and I have Ohio plates. Although I'm looking for a new state to call "home" (to adopt their laws), while living here in VA. I guess Florida will be a good pick.

Im sure whatever they are its not as bad as new jersey or PA

Keep in mind, even though your car is licensed in another state, you must obey all Virginia laws when driving there.
I live in KY on the VA / KY state line. When I had my Cav, I took it over there on a few occasions with a ground effects kit, dual exhaust, turbo kit and dark tint. Keep in mind that the car was completely legal in KY. However, I was ticketed on more than one occassion due to the car sitting too low, the tint being too dark, and excessive noise due to the turbo and exhaust. I was asked never to bring the car back into the state until it was legal under their traffic laws.
I hate that state. It's insane that they are now checking speed using aircraft. KY has never been that strict. I live closer to Wise VA than I do the closest town in KY. I now choose to drive to the town in KY rather than deal with the @!#$s in VA.
Oh, and all the questions about "untaxed tobacco and untaxed alcohol" are friggin annoying. They like to harrass me about that all the time when passing through a roadcheck once they see the KY driver's license.
yeah....va laws do suck. im glad i dont live there...
