I'd like to either shave my whole trunk lid, inner lights and lock, or just order a fully shaved fiberglass trunk lid from aplusperformance, my question is, any fellow j-body owners here from Michigan? is it legal to shave your whole trunk lid and have no reverse lights? anyone ever have any problems with that? let me know because its a mod that I'd like to do and it would look clean. thanks!

Guess it all depends on the cop to if he wants to write it up or not. i get pulled over all the time for my exhaust. It's illegal here in VA. Some have gave me a warning some didn't bother and some just said take it off or the next time i will give you a ticket. I was always told a cop can give you a ticket for anything it's your job to pay the fine or try and get out of it. But, anyway if I were to guess I would say its illegal to shave anything on your car that has to do with locks and lights. Best bet if you drive your car all the time and its not a show car then don't mess with it. IMO

call local cop shop or State cops they might tell you,i'm in Michigan and getting ready to shave my trunk lock but am not shaving anything like you want but still would like to know the law on this
