Changing Stock Alternator Pulley To A Lightweight Pulley on the L61 - How?

Hey Guys,

I just got a polished, light weight alternator pulley from MRZ Performance. Do I basically just rotate the tensioner bolt anti-clockwise and release the belt so i can remove it of the alternator? I know the pulley on the alternator is pressed in, but I can still remove it. How is that done? What tools to use i.e 3/8 drive ratchet? I am not trying to remove the tensioner, only release the tension of the belt. Take the passenger wheel off etc to do it or can it just be done by reaching down in the engine bay. There is not enough space down there at all, especially with my big top engine mount in the way too. Any help I would appreciate it.

the alternator pulley isn't pressed on... you're gonna need an impact gun to remove/install it.

as for the tensioner, a 3/8 drive breaker bar or similar will be your best friend.

Relieve tension and remove belt.
T-50 or T-55 Torx bit, and a open ended wrench also works. My buddy used an impact and an adjustable oil filter remover to hold the pulley from spinning while using the impact.

We just did this. We could not get a open end wrench to have enough bite to hold it. Impact did it without even needing to open the pulley.
