So...My 2000 Z24 has been sittin around for a few years and im not a mechanic. I come across a 2009 G5 write off. the engine, transmission and wiring were all saved. Am i getting myself into a bigger headache than im expecting. I basically want to know is there any difference in swapping a LAP or a L61. Is Newer actually better im trying to ask. Thanks for you're time guys.

If you do a 06+ l61 or lap you will need the external trigger wheel that Phil is selling.

you could swap over all the electronics and vvt and all that jaz would still work, but it would be A LOT of work.

It would be easier to slap a l61 head ons and do away with the vvt stuff.
