just curious?? show me the link if this has already been talked about. has anyone tried or has the pully set?? i was thinking of getting the set that jet performance has for the 2200 i cant seem to find any other brands.and i was wantin to know if it made a real difference??
I have one designed....it has been posted a few times. There is also a feeler post for the GP. I'm also getting an OLD RSM crank pulley off a guy in Canada next week. After I look at it, and review it...I would gladly sell it.
Also I have two alternator pulleys on ebay right now....and / or in the ecotec Group Purchase since all cavaliers share the same alternator pulley.

What is the diameter of the alternator pulley? I have found the 2nd gen S trucks use a slightly larger pulley, want to compare numbers.

I'm just waiting on you doing the 2.2OHV leightened crank again. I've already got the Alt pully and it's damn nice on there.
just let me know when u find out
Good to see this again. And I'd like to know about that supposed alt-pulley difference, too.
Go beyond the "bolt-on".

Haven't measured yet, difference is obvious. Will get diameters tonight if possible With luck, can get stock pulley and Blazer version side by side.

I so want a 2200 crank pully, are you going to run another soon?
The pulley I have measures 2.584" diameter across the raised portion of the groove. This should be acceptable for cars that don't carry large electrical loads or cars running numerically higher final drives.

Ok guys after days of research, all i found was a jet lightweight pulley set for the LN2. Came with crank, alternator, and idler i believe all lightweight original size. However this only fits the 95-99 2.2l cavaliers non-ecotec. i have a 2000 LN2 and i bought a lightweight billet aluminum crank pulley from Z-spec its great, but not an underdrive. I cant find nay other pulleys for the 2.2l non eco.
ummm, well with that, there's a problem, the 95-97 is the same, and the 98-02 is the same.
I'm not sure the difference between the 2.2OHV and the 2200SFI Cranks, but I know the Alt pully is the same. hopefully, someone who knows the differences between the cranks say's something. that's if there is a difference between the cranks.
ok the jet one was the only official pully set i found for the 2200 also but i have not found anyone who has actually used them to see if there was any real diffence! i guess it'll be a trial an error situation.

Thanks. That works out to about a 15% underdrive if my math is right.

pics plz.
How much are your alt pullies going for these days? And are they all hard coated....what color if so?
I know you were going through several trials of different colors and coating on them, and dont know what your final verdict on them was.
Link to my eBay action for an alternator pulley.
I'm just selling some bare ones at the moment.
The hard coated ones are a dark gray.
Like the alternator pulley in this pic....
I have sold, bare machined, polished, clear coated, light gray hard coated, dark gray hard coated, red, and blue pulleys.
All new group purchase pulleys will be hard coated dark gray. It is the strongest coating, and comes out the most uniform and "eye" pleasing.

Hey MD LD9 i just bought a lightweight alternator pulley from you on ebay. It will work with my stock alternator or a new high output ac-delco one right? my friend is also interested in purchasing one too. It only comes in polished aluminum right?
it'll work on any of them.
though, I didn't know AC delco had a HO Alt for the J's.

The ones I have left are Bare Machined Aluminum. It will fit the stock alternator for sure....I have never seen nor heard of a High-output version...but it should fit.
