Alright after installing my header my air/fuel gauge reads rich ALL the time in never moves. now my check engine light is on and its PO133 witch is O2 slow response! now when I put my O2 on it did not reach so I had to extend the wires! could that be the problem? do they make a adaptor for it or what? Please help!

Its common.

Quickest solution is the Casper O2 sim.

He can't do that. This is the primary O2 sensor. He needs it.

Ok Ill try that. Do they not make anything to extend the wires other then cut them?

Which header did you get? There is enough of slack in the stock wires, but you have to open the harness (carefully, and pull the slack).

I got a pacesetter so the O2 has to go clear to the bottom of the header.

I need to know the answer as well. I have the rk 4-2-1. I extended my wires myself. I have not started the car yet so I do not know if thhere is even a problem yet. I am just wondering if they make an extension wire that plugs right in to the ends or if there is a part number for an o2 sensor with the same wire clip only longer.

I have the Pacesetter header. I first cut and extending my wires, but because of issues I wet back took the extension out. Then pull the wire out of the harness so it would reach. They make a extension kit for the 2.2/2200, but not for the 2.4 that I know of.

Same with the IAT for those intake manifolds.
I just loosen the wire loom to get the slack is supposed to work.

I found my problem it seemed the connection was loose where I tapped in my air/fuel gauge! It must have got pulled to much when I was installing the header!

pacesetter sent extensions for the sensor with my 4-1 header

Just extend the wires before the quick connect plug if you have to.
That's your best way to extend the O2 wiring.
Also, do the heater O2 sensor mod if you're going to do all of this extension.
Here's what my custom made kit looks like and have the capability to change the O2 sensor when It wears out or goes bad.

I've had no issues with this setup and have the heater wires going to a buss strip that is dedicated for anything that is a turn-on device. It's under dash and just wired the new 4 wire O2 sensor into it for it's power feed.
I didn't want to use the existing wires from the rear O2 sensor because that would be robbing some of the voltage needed for the rear unit. There was a better way around this and did it the way I thought to be best.

Now, the primary O2 sensor heats up in one minute or less on a cold engine and in less than 15-30 seconds, is warmed up from an engine that has been shut off for a short period of time.
I love this mod and has been a blessing from the original setup I had with the Pacesetter header.
It would take forever for the O2 sensor to heat up because with its placement on the header, would take forever to warm up. This caused stumbling of the car, especially if you just shut off your engine, went into a store, came back out, and took off. It would stumble terribly.
Now, it's like a completely different car and never stumbles because of the 4 wire O2 setup.
