Simple question for those that have it installed. What did you pay for the stage 2 patriot head assembled. and if you bought it bare what was the price for that plus all of the additional parts needed. and where did you get it. Thanks.

I got it bare, and ordered it from patriot directly. Get it straight from the horses mouth so to speak. I even sent in the 1mm oversized valves and they did the 3 angle valve job for free. total cost was $550 perhaps with shipping additional.

so what kinda wheeling and dealing can u throw out for some of us faithful JBO members then? Any cheap prices? I would be interested to see the lowest price u could throw at us for both a stage 1 and stage 2...both assembled of course. How many peeps would u need to GP to lower ur current bottom dollar?

Are u running a Patriot head on your Eco Hypsy?

I contacted Patriot a while ago and they said they dont make an LN2 head stage 2. just the stage 1's.

I have a ported/polished head done by a shop with +1mm valves and its rocks, only costed $400 + shipping (got it used, but it works no problems)

Patriot is worthwhile because of the quality they produce, however, Im sure you can get just as much power from taking a 2200 head out of a yard (or off your car if you dont need to drive it for a while) and having it ported at a shop. You can get the +1mm valves installed with a valve grind as well.

Im not saying to avoid patriot by any means, but since youre looking at low prices, this might be a better option for you. I have it installed on my 2200, and it screams compared to stock. Before any mods it was like having a different motor in the car, new sound, new idle, new way to drive it, and some more noise in the high r's.

My friends dad installed a set on an LS1 a while ago, the car was all stock except for the heads and mufflers (saved for the heads first)... what a difference. They looked amazing and made the car move quite a bit. (lol more than it did already).

I dont know otherwise, Im sure you can get more input on patriot quality from those on this site. PJ (daflyinskwirl) has a stage 2 on his eco, and with some other mods he runs rock bottom 14's.

I misread the post, i thought "b h" was looking for a stage2, anyhow, they do make a stage2 for the ECO.

And who says 2200's are weak? Ok yea it is .... Mines got some balls now.... maybe.... just little itty bitty ones haha

But to answer youre question, Id say patriot is worth the money, just not if youre looking not to pay a lot, Im sure you can get a PP job and a stock head for under the price of the patriot head.
