where can i find a full list of mods that i can install in my 2.4 from the 2.3. I know i can get the cams, but can i get the cams from the W41 as long as I have the Cam housings too, or will the lift be too much. Just heard bout the oil pump, what else?
GMR has got nothing on this
Im sure you heard of the intake manifold swap. Also a head, crank pulley, etc etc. You just have to search because theres all different kind of 2.3's and 2.3 parts.
I have a full 2.3 lo intake manifold swap setup for sale if your interested. Check the classifieds
-entire top end of a quad 4 can be swapped over to the 2.4L HO, w41 and any other cams as high of lift require the quad 4 lifters.
-crank pulley
-oil pump
-intake manifold
-90-92 exhaust manifold (if the head is swapped)
-Throttle body
I'm sure I'm still leaving some out, because both motors are so closely related, that most of the parts are interchangable.

"Youth in Asia"...I don't see anything wrong with that.
just think if they would have made a 2.4 HO

Yea - If GM had built a HO version of the LD9, plus add a few Brake and Suspension upgrades to the J-bodies - the Cavies & Sunfires would have been leading the Sport Compact class, instead of playing catch-up.
A HO version of the LD9 would likely have made somewhere between 175-190 hp at the Flywheel (about 150-160 WHP).

hell, if they would have just used parts from different platforms on the j they would have been awesome.. like the n body rear suspension, maybe even a stock m62 on the "ho" 2.4 lol
Yeah the rear suspension & brakes from a '99 N-body would have been nice.
Truthfully I wish GM had used the Quad 4's 56 mm TB on all LD9 powered J-bodies.
Then introduced a HO version 2.4L Twin Cam in 1999, to power the Z24 & GT, with the regular LD9 to power the convertible models.
That would have been nice.
so what seems to be the problem with installing HO cams, and also does it matter if i install a HO intake manifold vs a LO intake manifold?
