Different options on performance???
Tuesday, January 16, 2007 9:01 PM
I have an 03 Cavlier 2.2. I dont have enough right now to buy a turbo kit or the supercharger kit. Are there any other engine modifications that are possible. I already have the usual K&N short ram intake on.

Is not knowing enough the only thing setting you back from the turbo or super? Or are you also limited by funds? The reason I ask, is because if you want NA mods, it typically ends up as a waste of money (especcially if you decide to turbocharge). The typical NA mods are:

-header (waste if you decide to turbocharge)
-complete 2.25" exhaust ...(waste if you decide to turbocharge)
-Cams ...(waste if you decide to turbo or supercharge)
-patriot stage 2 head ...(I suspect you won't be getting this anytime soon, but it is available)
-High compression pistons ...(waste if you decide to turbo or supercharge)
-Balance shaft neutralization
-Lightweigt flywheel (if you have a manual)

I'm sure there is more I am leaving out, but those are the essentials that will net more Naturally Aspirated power.
