i am looking at doing the 2.3 tb swap on to my 2200. now, the 2.3 tb is 56mm and the 2200 tb is 52 mm. i read in another tb post that the intake mainifold for the 2200 was 59 mm. if thats true would it be smarter to get my stock tb bored out to 59 mm instead of stcking with a smaller tb, ya know just so that the entire intake (intake, tb and intake mani) are all the same size.

and if i do decide to get my stock tb bored out does anyone know of a machine shop in the metro detroit area that does credible work at a decent price. all in all if the differences arent that big i will prolly just go with the 2.3 tb b/c i can get one for 30 bucks, and i doubt the machine shop could beat that.

I personally would go with the 2.3 56mm tb, your 2200 just doesnt pull enough air to make a TB thats 59mm worth it, if you go with the 56mm for 30 bucks, you will at least have some low end torque left versus the 59mm which will probably just hurt you.
