Fuel Tank/Pump Options

Hey guys, I picked my car up today after getting a tune up and they guy said i was going to need a fuel tank in the not too distant future.
My question is this, what are my options as far as a fuel tank goes, I want to keep the stock filler location and I wanted to run a higher volume/pressure pump because im putting a turbo engine in the car at some point.

Also, if i went with a stock replacement tank, are there any in tank pumps that can replace the factory pump, wabloro/carter/msd? This is on a 96 sunfire gt.

also would i need to mess with the computer at all if i changed the pump?

thanks guys

did he say why you need a new tank?

far as options, my only thought would be to go get a stock tank from a salvage/you pull it place.
no need to "mess" with the computer with a new pump

yeah why a new tank.... probably rust/ hole being a 96'. my 97' had a rust hole. just get some JB weld and patch the bad spots.. works awsome.

as for the fuel pump....the computer dosent control it. the pump has two modes. on and off...thats it. get a 190lph pump with the brass jet fitting and be done with fuel delivery.

if i am turbo-ing the car later on, would the 190lph be enough or would i need to upgrade again to the 255lph?

the 190lph would be plenty enough except for an all out race car. as for a fuel tank just go with a stock replacement or swap in a plastic tank from 00+ (not sure about all of them but my 00 tank is plastic)

or dont believe anything you here.

my tank was rusty. i just cleaned it up and spray painted it with some high temp resistant black paint.

do a search in the boost forum about fuel pumps.

when i was s/c'd i was running the walbro 255 , cartech fmu and stock injectors/fpr with no issues.

now i am N/A and still have the 255 and the rest of the system is stock. works great and no side effects and i get 30mpg. good enough for me.

im dont know what you're trying to get at...but ok

you can get a new/used tank =$$$

or go buy some JB weld(which is mainly used for repairing gas tanks) for like $6

190lph is enough unless you going all out race car.... a 255lph will work too it dosn't really matter they both do the same thing.
