When my car reaches 85+mph it makes a high pitched scream. I dont know if its inside or outside, but inside its horrible. It makes this noise all the way up to my top speed. Does anyone know what this is?

I noticed all the cars in Forza Motorsport on XBOX make stupid screaming sounds as they increase in speed, way louder than the engines too. MAYBE YOU HAVE A SUPERCAR????

Knew this one was coming from someone, that was only a matter of time. Maybe an exhaust leak???? A small one may not be noticeable at low charge and may be more at higher. Or does it seem to come from the engine or the car itself???
its a window BARELY open and it is whistling.. that our like the front bumper has a crack in it or something and wind is hitting it in an akward way

Wow, that has gotta b the dumbest thing I have read on these forums in a long time. Darkstars, why don't u take that turbo off ur car cause all it does is make it easier to speed! And no one has any reason to go that fast! Matter a fact, I think we should petition to make it so cars can't go over the posted speed limit. Maybe some sort of gps speed limiter. Hell lets get speed limiters down to 65, cause there is no reason to go any faster than that. Shut up if u don't have anything constructive or funny to say. no, ur comment was the stupidest comment ever. he has a turbo, maybe because he likes drag racing LEGALLY at the track? and yes, if there is a posted speed limit, there is a reason for it. That reason is that it is NOT safe to drive over that speed, and you could kill yourself and others. of course, if youre driving 85mph +. it must mean you are not very happy with ur life, but for the love of god, dont do it on a public road where u can hurt other people, that's just asking for trouble..
And I'm so sure that you have never driven 85+ on a public road/highway. I love the hipocracy on this website. So if its a track car then he obviously has a daily driver that's what, a yugo?

Actually Darkstars does have a DD, happens to be another cavalier that he posted somewhere on the forum not too long ago. Another 04 5spd if i remember correctly. While I am not perfect, and have done my share of speeding, 85+ is just out of hand at times. As for a fix to the problem, just make sure everything is all bolted down tight and all the mechanical work is proper. Other then that, maintan a normal speed, something closer to the speed limits.

Yeah, because in michigan most of the speed limits are 70... and it's not uncommon for people to go 85+
i hate highway 5 in washington... posted speed limit is 60 and im used to going 5 over the posted limit of 65 on most freeways in california so i go 70 all the time.
But looking at your profile you dont have much done to your car.. jbodys make noise, and even more at high speeds. They are limited at 105 because couldnt handle any more without modification.
Anyways, im gona guess a window is cracked.. roll em up. Other then that, it could be alot of things

my 99 sunfire had this problem. it was the seal around the windshield near the roof. But your problem could be something else. only way to figure it out is to troubleshoot it.

Actually speed limits (55/65) are/ were to save gas. Safety is just a line of BS that is used to keep limits (and speeding fines). I read an article several years ago stating that there were fewer accident/ deaths (per driver mile) on the Autobahn than US interstates, even though the Autobahn is largely speed limit free. They went on to say that the reason was, basically, Americans are bad drivers (following to close, not signaling, etc.).
Something slightly off topic that the article mentioned is that the US Interstate is considered a semi-failure. It was built too straight, and being so straight, it tends to make people sleepy. Not good when driving a 40 ton truck.
make sure that your flux capacitor isn't leaking plutonium... that isn't good for anybody.

I"ve had the same thing happen in my car, if you crack the sunroof it would stop, I'd start looking there, not sure what you'd have to do to fix it though.
As for the do-good, don't-speed's on here, take it to the "nagging" forum. Nobody cares captain safety.

I can second that... today I did 75 mph on the highway in Michigan and people were passing me. Head towards Detroit on I-94 and people are still passing you when you do 80 mph.
I was happy when I heard my car ran 10s. Then I found out that was 0-60.
