to hook up the air fuel gauge what color wire do i splice into ? the blue or white
DONT CUT THE BLUE WIRE!!!!!!
BOOOM....
I dunno, just sounds like a bomb
a regular air/fuel gauge hooked to your stock O2 sensor is nothing more than flashing lights. It is too narrow to get a descent reading.

ok but i'm still gonna hook it up . i just need to figure out what wire to connect it too
Why'd you feel the need to ask this in the boost forum?
And it's really not something you need to know asap because it's not like your engine is gonna blow up if you don't find out in 10 minutes.

Unfortunitly your using the wrong gauge, instead of the narrowband air/fuel , you should be using some sort of wideband. They are way more accurate, and will help you alot more then the basic air/fuel gauge.
sorry but I'm taking PJ side. If "you" are installing a turbo but can't figure out how to hook a narrowband A/F gauge, you're stupid or a real moron.
Don't come in and complain that you blew your engine cause I know you will.
How can you understand how to tune your engine when you don't even know how to hook a wire?

which one are you talking about?
I have the innovate LM-1 unit. It has an option to send the readings to a laptop but is not required. You can read the afr straight from the box. It has lots of options you can add to it as well.

Yeah dont rely on a narrowband gauge and sensor to do anything for you. Basically you just wasted 50 bucks on a guage. Get a wideband if your going turbo your experience will be a hell of alot more pleasurable. As to the regard of which wire it is not sure about the 2001 model but on mine it was the purple wire at the top of the loom. I had used one on my first turbo setup and it didnt do anything for me except stay green haha. AEM widebands are cake to hookup and are accurate.

On a 2004 you would splice into the the Purple wire of the O2 sensor # 1 or the Purple/White wire of (HO2S # 2) heated oxygen sensor number 2 . I think the color coding may not be the same for your car. The other guys are right it is more of a light show but it is your car and your money.
