It means that your tires are spinning. If it comes on when you are not driving hard, you may have a problem. The sensor is there to stop the tires from spinning and to help them get traction.

Or if you are also in 1 or 2 on you gear selector....It will turn it off. Setting you parking brake will also have the light come on, turns ETC off as well
ETC(electronic Traction control) Look at you handbook on the Cavalier/Sunfire...Its all in there!

well hes referring to my engine, the trac off light will come on randomly at idle most, ill be sitting there idling doing nothing and it will pop on and then pop off whenever it wants to, i also keep getting idle to high check engine light that i cant figure out, this happens when im just normal driving too.
