turbo muffler?

Does anyone have the Turbo Muffler, the one that's supposedly the quiet performance muffler. I'm thinking about getting it next week to quiet down my exhaust, I want to hear my engine over my muffler. Is this really a quiet performance muffler?

If your talking about a thrush turbo, they're usually kinda quiet at idle, at obnoxious at cruising... Way to much interior resonance at the speed and timbre our engines run at. Dynomax makes a decent 2.25 universal turbo muffler, i still have it from my 89 and it sounded, how shall i say, unique...

I don't know what kind of Turbo Muffler it is, all I know is that Meineke has it and they're selling it for $50, 50% off retail. But is it quiet? I'm just looking for an all around quieter muffler then a flow-through like mine.

You can get a Hooker Aero chamber for 50$

A turbo muffler shouldn't be over 20$ since we can get them for 30$ canadian.

I have it. Too bad I don't have any good audio files.

I like how it sounds with my 25 inch resonator.

I think flowmaster mufflers sound like crap on our 4 cyl cars. I had one and hated it.

If you want quiet go with a stock muffler.

a muffler really doesnt add a measurable amount of hp to our cars. A local guy dynoed his before and after with a whopping 1hp gain and a slight torque loss.

Unless you are actually turbo then you might see more gains. Althought if you are turbo your exhast is going to be quieter and less raspy anyways.

How about a dynomax super turbo? I bought one but have yet to put it on. I hear it sounds pretty decent, very close to stock.

I have a DynoMax Super Turbo, I had it installed when I had my whole exhaust redone and for the first week the exhaust sounded stock. I'm talking a 2.5" exhaust with a Dynatech PowerCat, a 6" Resonator, and the Super Turbo muffler and it sounded quiet as stock, no lie. After a week though it began developing a tone and it's been a month or so now but it still sounds reasonably quiet. I can easily hear my supercharger whine over the exhaust note.

If your looking for a quite muffler i would go with one with a removable silencer. andysautosport.com has nice mufflers and not too expensive.
