Ok so this is supposed to be a direct swap other then the rotors right?
Am i the only one that has noticed it doesnt even line up with the bolt holes?
And i am having a tough time getting either rotor off. I follwed events instructions but still they wont come off, i think im just gonna have to drill them out.
Any suggestions?
You have to take it apart and change the angle of the rotor ..phil
Well then im gonna have to drill the plates out, cuase they are rusted in.
they should line up, u only have 2 holes to ise if i remember correctly. and looking at both those TB/s why do you need to remove the rotors? looks like both have cruise.

how so, both are for the throttle cable and the TV cable.
But nonetheless im giving up, i have work in two hours and i dont have time for this crap. Though i have another question:
What would be the effect of swapping the 2.3 sensors over to the 2200 tb?
In this pic the the sensors are paired up. The 2200 sensor are to the left and the 2.3 to the right.
sorry for the small pic, photobucket keeps changing the size of my pics.
ahh you have a 3 speed then right? forgot about that damn cable on the 3 speeds

.
I did my TB swap last night.
1. I didnt change rotors, I wound throttle cable to the rotor making sure it was tight, with ball on outside of rotor(doesnt fit inside of rotor like stock one) throttle engages freely, no problems just like stock
2. Standing facing front of your car, the back left, and front right intake bolts will line up and go in. You will only have the front bolt in your throttle cable bracket
3. As far as sensors go? Well I figured that I should put the 2200 sensors in so I tried. The TPS didnt want to fit right so I used the 2.3 one, but I put the 2200 IAC sensor in. Hooked up the battery, fired it up and the revs went crazy, and I got a check engine light. After checking my vacuum, and all other connections, it was still idling like crazy. I swapped the 2.3 IAC back in, and it purrs beautifully, sounds meaner, and no check engine light. So im running the 2.3 sensors in mine.
Also, you probably know but be sure to tee your 2 small vac lines
hope this helps you, if you need some pix lemme know
Here, after I posted above I decided to run out to the garage to snap some pix for you to better explain:
1. 2 bolts I used, with a bit of wiggling, they line up nice:

2. How I connected the throttle cable to the rotor

3. Top of throttle rotor, cable same as stock

4. Vac Tee, 2 small lines
And as stated in last post, I used the 2.3 sensors, because my car had MAJOR issues with the 2200 sensors in the 2.3 TB. Sorry if the pics are too big
Hope this helps
Jeff
I just swapped in the throttlebody from my quad to my 2200, The whistling is ghey! sounds like a squealing belt. I just have to make my gasket for it and it should stop the idle whistle.
yup
I find that RTV black works well in this case.
hmm i have a whistle..but its at like 3000 rpm...doesnt bother me much but would it be better if i sealed it?? phil
would sanding the plates on the egde to smooth it out help get rid of the whistle? it still sounds like a drivebelt sqealing.

I made my gasket perfect but a broke a bolt right inside of the intake screw hole. instead of a crappy 2 bolt TB I have a vacume leaking 1 bolt. I'm getting a new (used) intake manifold tomorrow and i'm going to try to find a better TB.
But I swear to god i have %30 better gass milage. and my car was pulling hard from 3300rpm more than it did before and my takeoff is a bit faster from a stop. but the idle is really horrible..
