wel.. i made up my mind i wanna swap in a 2.4 into the 2200 place in my 2001 pontiac sunfire.. i'm thinking about keepin it a automatic .. so all i would need is the engine .. wire harness and ecu right?? the motor mounts are the same for both motors?? what else would i need.
You basically need everything in the engine bay because you're messing with a totally different motor and everything.
Motor, Transmission, Wiring Harness, Ignition System, Fuel System, Computer etc.
Best thing for you to do is get a donor car.

and he's right...you can't use the same transmission you have now because the bellhousing is different.
