read my topic of the holy grail of intakes

ive got a HO egr intake

which i might be selling

the only issue is you will have to have a different mounting piece made for the egr so it clears the intake

i was thinking of moving it to the other side of the ps pump.
and ive got kid of a dumb newbie question.
does it absolutly have to be port matched or will it work as is?
reason i asked is because iv never really done machine work and i dont want to mess up a perfect w41 intake

I 've known of people who have left it as is, But that's only hearsay and rumor. I haven't talked to anyone that has done it that way but I think it's possible do it it without the port

you can always get a spacer from Chris Fontana, they're very nice and it's what I'm using right now.

I'm using the old style and he just recently came out with a new and improved version,

First time i did my ho swap, i didnt port match it, car ran, felt power, got a flange and put it on, felt like i had more power. ran faster in the 1/4 mile.

Anyways, about the EGR, i have been planing on doing this, and possibly selling a kit to relocate the EGR with the manifold swap. Some are lucky and can just block it off and drive around with a check engine light, for me here in PA, if you have a check engine light you cant pass inspection.

So anyways, i was messing around t with the idea, and found that the EGR can fit into the stock location, its the mount that needs modded to make everything fit. if i can make it into an L shape instead of how the mount is striaght now that should work. Once i do that, i can probably connect the EGR line to the hole on the back of the manifold by the alternator, or under the manifold like the "holy grail" is done.
