AEM Install '04 Cavalier

Can Someone please give me a step-by-step on how to get the GD bong/washer fluid holder out of that fenderwell? I have looked at tutorials that say, "Oh just take out that 10mm bolt and pull the thing out." IT"S NOT THAT EASY... I pulled the headlight out and found yet another bolt that needed to be removed... how many are there on 03+ Cavaliers and where are they? Please... My car is in pieces on the driveway... I bought the intake used so I didn't have a manual.

Thanks in advance.

well... I didn't have a jack so I was doing it without removing the wheel which was a ROYAL PITA as mentioned above... but I did get it in finally and it's pretty nice. For clarification, it's 3 bolts total to remove the intake resonator/washer fluid reservoir assembly. THREE... one will be visible from the wheel well after removing the fender liner, the other two will almost REQUIRE you to remove your headlamp assembly. One will be right behind the driver's side headlamp, while the other will be tucked in a corner just above the bottom of the bumper on the bottom of the resonator assembly towards teh front of the car.

You don't need to remove your headlight, just jack up the car and you can get to everything. I'd reccomend a ratched with an extender for some of them. For those that don't have a jack, all cars come with one in the trunk, and always use jackstands when working under a car

I didn't take off the wheel or jack up the car... just turned the wheel all the way to the left... was still a PITA though...

and I personally wouldn't trust that jack in the trunk if my lide depended on it... that thing has to be made out of rolled aluminum foil!

Did you not order the true AEM cold Air intake? Mine came with directions on how to install it.

I just did what everyone else has suggeted, jack the car up and take the inner wheel well liner out or just enough so you can move it out of the way. It is actually a fairly easy install, but you don't need to take the headlight out.

Yes I have a jack, but no jack stands... generally not a good idea to work under a car just using the stock factory jack... I wouldn't trust it... I didn't word it right, though, had I had jackstands, I'd have used them.

It was by no means an easy install for me. Once I got the fender well out, I had to move the winshield wiper fluid resevoir, pain in the you know what, and then there was some bold (10mm) I couldn't even find. I was sooooooo mad for 30 minutes or so until I found that tiny bolt. Look in the most retarded place and you'll find it, I think.
