will the rksport cold air extension work with a injen "cold air" in take for the 2200 motor. the injen cai is basically a short ram, it doesnt sit in the wheel well

it doesnt matter. u wont see a difference if you extend the intake.

but if you insist and really want to... check on http://www.ny-jbodies.org/library/library.asp under the 2200 section for the instructions how to make a cold air for the 2200.

thanks for the link, but i am just curious because this guy is trying sell me his cold air extension so i was just wondering if it would work with a injen intake. so i wont get any power difference at all??

the extension will probably work, but there is no point in spending the money on it. i think someone actually tested both intakes (WAI and CAI) on a dyno and found no differnece. also they monitored the intake temps and found the short ram was only taking in air that was a couple degrees warmer.....thus no difference. basically the only time that your car would take in cold air is in the winter anyway. if you think about it, the air for a CAI still has to flow through a warm pipe in the engine bay, so itl get warmed up anyway. but if you insist on getting it, go for it, but you wont see any gain.
