Ok, I have a 05 ls sport cav, I think the curb weight is around 2800. I know all the options add weight but how much? Lets see over the base, I have: Power everything, sunroof, 16" wheels, ABS, Power steering, the body kit and what else?

no actually its probably not really that much of a difference

plus the base model also has ABS and powersteering... the ls sport kit is pretty much like maybe 5-10 lbs more, the wiring and everything for power everything maybe 20 lbs and the sunroof, possibly another 15lbs or so

none of those are accurate and i'm just imagining what they would weigh, but its really not gonna matter that much

maybe 200 lbs more? pending on year motor and trans, and options.
I Don't know have you searched the racing forum?

around 35 lbs for the moonroof
maybe 15 for the ls kit
maybe 20 for the abs module (base model from 2003 to 2005 didnt have ABS)
around maybe another 25 for the wring and switches
around 7 lbs by wheels with the tire inflated
another 2 for the exhaust tip
if you have XM add another 2 for the satellite antenna

i came up with 106 lbs more (approx)

yea id say its roughly a couple hundred lbs difference, i believe Lamb of Goddess has the bare nothing 1sv package and she weighed in at 25xx i think

Base US Coupe weighs 2617. Z24 Coupe in Canada (should be same as LS Sport) is 2677.

Plus - most LS Sports have sunroof which is probably about 60lbs. Not sure how much weight to add for optional XM Radio, OnStar, or side airbags.

By the way, base Canadian Coupe is 2581 without A/C, but with body side mouldings, rear spoiler, smokers pack, and engine block heater.

Mazda says add 10kg for sunroof, so a better guess would be 25lbs.

My base model 04 at the track, full street trim (sans spare tire and jack) with 160 lbs driver and a half tank weighed 2750. Also I was running z24 16" rims (not LS sport).

I have done teins struts eibach spring (no weight gain)
eibach front and rear sway bars (+9 lbs over stock)
front and rear strut tower braces (+7 over stock)

any question hit me up, Airtonics car (same driver) was at 2850 but he was at less gas then me I believe, but he aslo has the S/C on his eco as well.

mye 04 base model weighed 2600 on the truck scale.

Hmm, a lot of different answers lol. I guess they are a little quicker then.

All I know is the sunroof is going to weigh you down more than any of the other options.

My LS sport weights is at 2830 with driver and 1/4 tank of gas.

Thats with the rear seats removed and the trunk empy. But i still have the passangers seat and a roll cage.

I weighed in at 3000 even on a scale that rounds to nearest 20lbs and thast with me in it. Im about 145lbs and I have a fully loaded 2001 Z24 Auto

then your not a base model.....

base model = NO OPTIONS (standerd manual trans, manual windows, NO ABS, NO AC, NO power door locks, NO power mirrors, NO rear defrost (its hard to get the NO AC and NO Rear defrost....... its usually one or the other)

I would love to see what a true Canadian Base Model weighs........ since they get the AC delete option (not sure if the US model does)
