Well It all started when I switched my intake manifold from the stock to the HO manifold.
I also switched from the 2.4's TB to the 2.3's TB
Well after a while of driving and racing I kinda have narrowed down a problem I've been having, the problem is that when I am racing hard or going from a dig, if I shift and slam my foot down on the gas, the car bogs down, I get no power, the car just slows down. Even if my foot is pressed all the way down to the floor, it just sits there. I get the same results if I'm parked and I rev it to about 5k, remove my foot, and quickly press down on the gas again. Nothing happens. no more rev. it just drops down to about 2k rpms and gets no power.
This cost me quite a bit at the track the other day and it's kinda disappointing to have it happen over and over again, but anyways...
What should I do about this problem? I'm blaming my TPS on this because it doesn't seem likely that it could be anything else, Maybe I should try adapting my 2.4L's TPS onto the 2.3 TB? Maybe I need a new TPS for that TB? Any ideas anyone? So far I've had little luck in deciding what to do.

replace the TPS
I was a retard, and now I'm permanently banned.
I had a problem with my tps, the 2.3 one didn't work right with the computer i guess, after I put the 2.4 tps on, everything worked just like it had before I put the manifold on... but it sounded better

I think I read on another post that the 2.3's TPS has voltage problems, it doesn't read what a 2.4's does so it cuts out.
I'll get on that as soon as I can. I'll let you know what happens.

Would a bad tps cause the engine to drop in rpm's when hitting the throttle? I've had a full tune up and the TPS is the only thing i can think of next
I believe in the install directions for the 2.3 manifold, it says to use the 2.4 TPS anyways. Maybe for this reason.

Yes, the tps is a variable resistor. 0-5v signal. So at wot it will read close to 5volts.
So when to step on the pedal the resistor could be open and send a 0v reference back to the computer for that moment. This tells the computer that you are not accelerating. Hence the rpm drop at a certain point on the tps.

55 bucks for a new sensor at auto zone. oh well.

I know this is a month old, but I didn't have any issues with my TPS from a 2.3. And I used one off a LO grand am, no issues what so ever.

Wish I saw this post earlier.
Yeah don't bother with a new tps.
I have a couple spare 2.4L tps lieing around. And one 2.3L style I can pull.
I'm sure you can find one in a junkyard somewhere.
5 finger discount.
If not, I'll send you a spare.
