Sup people. Tired of my stock exhaust . my friends uncle owns a muffler shop and he tells me that he can install a straight pipe 2.25 all the way no Catalytic converter $55 . is it a good idea ? how is my car going to take it . back pressure ? smoke ? fumes ? thanks
It will sound like crap and be illegal.

Hurmmm what if i add a High flow muffler... define crap ? i just want performace
Crap = It will crackle, pop, and make the horrid bees in a can noise. If you want performance...and hopefully a good sound....get him to make you a 2 1/4" cat back set up. Leave the current cat there or replace it with a Catco or a Magnaflow high flow one. The catalytic converter is really only bad for performance if it is clogged. For a muffler a lot of guys here like Magnaflows, I personally love the sound from my Flowmaster. I would really recommend against a straight pipe. Do you have emissions testing? If you remove the cat you will get a CEL unless you make or buy a simulator.

Well yea he's gonna make a cat back for it ... ( he said hell bend the tubing in the shape the stock one is like) just no Catalytic converter. unless i buy one. ... what i mean by straight pipe is only no Cat . .. I asked a couple of people selling cat backs on ebay Magnaflow if they had catalytic converters and they said no ... Does any one have that set up No cat ? ?? / ? ? / /
a cat back bolt up BEHIND or ONTO the catalitic coverter anyway if you remove it it will be illegal, you will @!#$ the environment even more and you will hurt the performance!
Also one more tip before you do it.
Make sure he doesn't crush bend your piping. Ask him to either do compression bends or mendrel bending...you won't regret it. If he doesn't want to do either of the 2, go somewhere else and spend the little extra money for a quality piping setup.
