Right now I only have my cat back, but my car has lost some torque and I am un-happy with the sound still.
I am thinking about adding on a Weapon-R header and a high flow cat. Will this help out with power and sound?
Also if I use a test pipe instead of a high-flow cat how would that effect sound/performance?
A test pipe would be so annoying I would want to kill myself, but The header will decrease low end trq, but when your racing you are mainly in the the higher rev range so low end trq does'nt matter as much accept for off the line. The intake will genrally help out with sound and give around 5hp and not very much more trq. though it will not hurt it.
if you look at my setup in my registry...i've been told many times it sounds really nice. Also the OBX 4-2-1 header kicks ass for as little as it costs. I recommend spraying it with ceramic before install though. Gets a lil warm under the hood
I have a header im selling its an OBX 4:1 Stainless stell, cheap!. If your interested IM me on aim - Markaj04
if you plan to add a header, plan to add a decently LARGE resonator in ADDITION to the muffler.
header design depends on low end torque increasing or decreasing.
in a nut shell.
4-1 is more a top end piece.
4-2-1 was more a low to mid range piece.
but 4-1 long tube headers like the new pacesetter usually are a mix of both worlds.
pacesetter has a new 4-1? since when? got pics? i wanna see. my header is 2 years old. and i love it. but if the new one is better i'll get the new one cuz its better. lol.
