Not sure if this is the right section to ask this, but I was wondering if anyone else has replaced their old serpentine belt with a Goodyear Gatorback Poly-V Serpentine belt. IF you do have you noticed any difference?
I replaced mine back in April when I fixed my oil pan leak. Needed replaced since oil and rubber dont mix to well. The belt runs quite from what ive seen and heard. To be honest with you I get maybe another .15 of a volt more out of the altenator with this belt. I believe alot of race teams use these belts becuase they grip better than a normal ribbed belt from what ive heard.
I bought it because it only cost 3 more dollars than the normal everyday belt. Extra insurance i think. Im sure in a supercharged application it would help better than a normal serpentine belt.

S/C guys use it, and they seem to like it. Not sure that it would make any difference in non-s/c cars, since they aren't running anything but the accessories off the belt, and I'm sure it doesn't spin too fast making it slip.

I ordered one yesterday from a local Autozone. Gonna pick it up next week on Monday.
They are really great belts. I used to work at a autoparts store, and they are hands down better quality than others. The shop had no problems with the belts fraying, or breaking. I would definately use it. Top notch product.
