? about grounding wires

ok been doing a lil i mean a lil research into this but what i understand generally they are large copper wires that come off the head to points of the frame and sidewall therefore lowering resistence. but my ? is first is this the right way to explain this and two does this really help with lower resistence and does that help with power increase. any help would be awesome thanks

hp power increase probably not, or very, very little. It helps your grounding system, whihc in turn can allow things to work better, lights stereo etc... This also can inturn allow sensor's and such to operate better. I have a set on my car. Never noticed a power increase, but notice windows and such working better. I'm a true believer in every little thing adds up.
