Every time the radiator fan comes on my ETS and CEL light come with code PO113 Intake Air Temperature Sensor Circuit High Input. I just replaced the IAT sensor, ECT sensor, and radiator fan with no luck. I am stuck thinking I have a short or something. Anyone had this problem or an idea of how to fix it?
i had/ still have the same problem. i have replaced my IAT sensor 3 times or i made the dealership do it. CEL is always on. But i took it up to autozone and they used the ob2 reader and deleted it. Its been about 2 weeks and no light. Oh also try disconnecting the battery for like 15 min see if that works to. Give the computer a chance to adjust to the new sensors. Just a suggestion. Good luck
I figured it out, there was a short in the wires that go to the IAT sensor. The voltage at the sensor should read 5 volts, i noticed that when i wiggled the wire it fluctuated from 0 - 5 on the volt meter. I just cut off the plug and hard wired a 4.7k resistor from Radio Shack (5 for a dollar) into it and it works fine. The resistor from Radio Shack tricks the car into thinking that the incoming air temperature is 55 F.
well maybe ill have to do that if i get the cel back lol. good info
