99 2200 coolant leak by firewall
Wednesday, March 07, 2012 12:42 AM
So replaced my motor in my car. Now I have a leak coming from a nipple on the passsenger side firewall right under the two AC lines. I don't remember and hose connecting to it and I have no hoses undone that I can see. Any ideas

Thanks

maybe your heater core is leaking

IDK I thought when they leak ur carpet gets wet. My coolant just pours out of that nipple right under the two AC line
can someone look at their car and see if there is a hose hooked up to it please?

The heatercore does have it's own drain outside, it's possible that it's just leaking at the nipple instead?

ok thats what i thought. i was just having a little trouble getting to the heater core. one screw by the gas pedal and the the center screw in the back idk. i had a 90 degree adapter for my drill but its broke. my ore was fine before i did my motor swap. i had it sitting outside for like a year and a half without the engine in. i thought i covered both heater hoses with tape but one came undone. maybe something crawled in there idk. it was fine before i did my motor swap like i said. i guess ill take the core out and try to flush it

on my 98 cavalier the water was coming out of the same spot when the heatercore went bad, you could always bypass it and see if it stops leaking
