hello, im a new j-body owner. just bought a 97 sunfire 4 door 2.2L auto red..haha i know. but it was only $500 and it has 102k on it. but anyways, the wipers dont work, so im replacing the wiper motor. how do i do it? i tried taking the cowling off, but it looks like you have to take off the wiper arm? someone please help haha..and also does anyone know if this car has traction control? i read somewhere that the auto's come with that. thanks.
pull the plastic caps off the wiper arms where they look like they're bolted down, it will expose the bolt. pull the bolt, pull the wiper arm off, remove the "cowling" by removing the 7 or so plastic rivot pins, and go to town. once its all opened up, its all pretty self explanatory
okay. well i tried prying the wiper arm off the stud but it wont budge.
and you have the nut that holds it on taken off?
hit it with some wd-40. and then try and wiggle it off. i know i had a hard time getting my buddies to break loose as they tend to rust/fuse together
alright, got it all apart and put the new motor in. and i think i need to adjust it just a little bit, cuz the passenger blade/arm comes down hard against the stop and you cant budge it...and also the drivers side seems to be about 1/2" away from the stop. any help/advice?
